Presentation Synopsis:
As a continuation of Jordan's previous presentation on the Alberta Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act, this presentation will focus on the Construction Adjudication process. Adjudication is the expedited dispute resolution process used to resolve construction disputes quickly, cost effectively and without the need to involve lawyers.
Speaker Bio:
Jordan T. Crone is a partner and the head of the Construction Law Group at Gowling WLG's Calgary office. With expertise in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, including public-private partnerships, Jordan advises owners, developers, contractors, architects, and engineers on managing risks throughout project lifecycles. He focuses on litigation and dispute avoidance, offering practical, cost-effective solutions to prevent formal disputes. Jordan has been a leader and key contributor with respect to the implementation and learning opportunities surrounding Alberta's new Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act.
